Monday Mornin' threw a warm light
Must've cut right through those child's eyes
She woke to see the moonlight,
Racing past her...aging, rusted ice.
Just a new kind...of old spice...oh so nice.

She spoke about the ways of mankind
Tea beside her hands of driftwire.
She couldn't argue with a dry mouth
She told the world she left us lyin'...
in the sunshine,
With her smiles.
Not a brushfire, for miles around.

Then she said, "Are you trusted...by the fools who threw you out? Is it worth it...
to reach in & figure out...
Should you make a stand...
Or hold your breath in?
Many circumstances can leave you hidin'...
Hard to comprehend sometimes…

(solo)

She gave no reason to upset me
As other people threw their heads down.
She went along and spoke of laughter,
Those simple things people fashioned...
They weren't after... oh not a sound...
'Cause nothin' mattered to them...
They were never bound.

Then they felt this terror
As their hearts were screamin' out,
"Must I mirror...
What is real & what is not...
just another plan...to break those plans down?
If there's an ending there's some beginning...
Hard to comprehend sometimes...
