I think I've finally reached the boiling point with Bush & his administration. They are officially incompetant, unable to help the American people out of even a wet, paper bag.

I hear how Katrina victims are getting kicked out of their temporary trailers, many are having difficulty being able to vote as well as collect any insurance claims while The President & Congress use our taxpayers' money to debate about same sex marriages ruining the very fabric of society. Let's not even talk about the nonsensical tax cuts during 'wartime' or giving up 1st Amendment protections to government whistleblowers. I will not go on with the long, exhaustive list of wrongdoing this Administration has inflicted on it's citizens.

This Administration has finally lost what little legitimacy it clung onto for this year. It will fall hard & I will watch with fervor; however, like a badger, it will not go down without a nasty battle that will twist every possible nonissue into a scaremongering oppurtunity to draw in what ignorant people are left willing to listen. The herd of followers has thinned & our spendthrift shepard is losing it's flock in a sea of bankrupt ideologies. The world looks at him (Bush) & laughs because it foresees the implosion occuring. The world is waiting to gasp a breath of fresh air, crossing its fingers & hoping he keeps stepping into his own traps that he once planted on everyone else. He is hurting & the world is witnessing comeuppins with hidden smiles of retribution.

I am sickened though. I pray for the pace to quicken in which he politically damages himself sooner than later. It is an embarrassment to have to suffer through this most idiotic of Administrations. But pray tell, it is coming to an end very soon, I sense the shift & it will be with Godspeed. May we never have to live through such a dark time in our lives again. Hopefully, the damage will not be irreperable by the time they've destroyed themselves. If we are to give to our children a serious oppurtunity, then we must pray that we survive through 2.5 more years of suffrage. I am past my breaking point, all I can do now is wait. May the American people vote this time with keener intincts & political prudence for if we elect another Bush, surely I will isolate myself from a life of chosen stupidity. I will not go down that path. May most Americans think this way in 2008.

So, let s see the items of social interest today...immigration/Latino discrimination, Iran & nuclear weapons, spreading democracy, Israel's nuclear weapons, African issues (gov't injustice, wide mass starvation & disease), Central American dissension, Chinese expansion, American economics, American politics & short-term stability. Oh yah, gas & oil prices.

I want to start with Iran & Israel, the pocket of this world where everything could go wrong in an instant. I don't understand how America can ignore Israel's nuclear weapons stockpile (a non-member of the IAEA, mind you) while it stares down at a vast region of this world ready to 'protect itself'. I understand the need for protection but come on, only 12 nuclear warheads are neede to destroy this fine planet. At most, couldn't they even consider owning just, say, 3 nuclear war heads? Maybe Iran wouldn't assume the threatened stance with such bravado while America shoves its bullhead into its business, ignoring it's social intelligence. Iran is like America right now, the gov't doesn't really truly represent the peoples' mindset. They're also kind of embarrassed by their president. He doesn't speak their sentiments as he does represent his own interests. Our gov't has no leg to stand on as far as the world's viepoint goes. This administration used up all of its past favors & has run out of ideas after it assumed its ideas in the last 5 years would bear fruit. Yes, it did bear fruit but they left it rotting & they didn't clean up the mess. Let's face it, this administration is like the parents you never want to introduce to your friends for fear they might do or say something to embarrass everyone. They can't embarass themselves because they aren't connected to what's going on around them - they're lost & choose to stay that way - and in the public's eye! Talk about really not giving a damn.

Our biggest concern is stability in that region of the world & not trying to stoke the flames of fear, but alas, that's what's occuring & I predict a VERY grim outcome, as much as I don't want to give into it. This administration cares little for life & mostly about future securities of their investments - therefore, they will go to the end, not giving two minutes of thought to the ramifications it will have on the world & how it will be managed. They don't manage, they spend & hand the gifts over to their worker bees to store later. Conservatives? Please! They are not conservative. They are bad businessmen borrowing money & unable to pay it back. I feel for America because WE are the ones that will be paying for it, in more ways than one. We shouldn't be arguing with teh illegal immigrants, we should be arguing about why teh minimum wage is so low that families can't live decntly with that wage scheme or why so many jobs have been so easily outsourced. You see, free trade isn't all it cracked up to be but that's the utimate nature of teh beast. Take all you can, run & don't look behind. We are all inherently assumint that we're protecting our futures when we do that but ultimately, we all have to pay for one anothers selfishness & lack of foresight. We allow all of this to happen & wait until it goes too far before we do anything about it. It's old, that's all. We're so damned predictable, it makes me sick. I don't see this cycle of desperation ending in this lietime or a few lifetimes. It might just be time for this Earth to let us go as we give very little back to Her to thrive as a planet needs to in order to maintain life with ease.

I pray for us all. Just remember, when the shit hits the fan, either know how to garden, hunt, build a shelter & tinker with motors & electronics, or surround yourself with people you trust that have those skills. It will become an issue in this lifetime, mark my words. We're definitely riding the last BIG WAVE. I wish us luck. Our fates are in the hands of the leaders we chose & it's not a very good choice. We need space aliens right about now to put the house in order & perspective, I mean it. Just think about it for a little bit.

I don't care what anybody says, I'm proud of the immigrants, both illegal & legal, marching together, insulted that they're being called criminals & terrorists & tax-exempting freeloaders to the system. They are uniting, proud of their work ethic & what it contributes to our community, whether we want to recognize it or not. How dare we create a lower class in this day & age, as if we're morally superior. The reason why they're illegal is because we allow only so many working visas per year, which obviously aren't enough. The immigration system has to be modified to fit the times or else the times are going to force their way into the country, whether we like it or not. It's just a wave that is too big to stop & one in which the common man will have the common sense, in time, to realize that this was all just nonsensical. It just breaks down to work. All a man wants is work. Work that'll give him pride, some purpose in life and at the end of the day he can go home feeling like everything's alright. A man does not like to have his work insulted. he takes that personally. I also include women in all of this.

I applaud anyone who has the gall to risk their lives walking through the desert, separated from their family for years. Do we really need to add insult to injury? Why don't you, as American, who won't pick strawberries for $6.75 an hour, imagine having to leave your country because you can't make enough money to support your family, even in your own friggin' country. Just think about that for a moment. Now, imagine having to make that hell's crossing across the border, all to get a goddam job...a goddamn job. It would be one thing if they were terrorists but they're workers, fieldhands & laborers. We see them all around us but all of a sudden, when you're not around them, you talk shit about them. I say shut your trap & listen right now to what's happening around you. It's historical. There will be changes and changes that reflect the peoples' will, not the government's.

If we were smart economists. we'd embrace them. What fools we have let ourselves become as a society to accept such lazy thinking. This could very well be one of the most patriotic events that's happened since the Vietnam War protests. Let's not spit on the Latino's the way we spit on our American Vietnam vets. Let's not stoop so low ever again.

Watch out folks, Venezuela's Chavez is going to muck everything up, ruin the economy & create instability because he has such hatred for Bush. That's if you listen to the White House. Well, at this point, I think most of the world dislikes Bush & that's including Americans - look at the polls. America's about results & we haven't seen too many of that after five years now, have we? Simple & plain, Bush & his administration are a disgrace to the United States of America. They soil the very flag we salute then try to hide our heroic, dead soldiers from public view, adding insult to fatal injury. So come on in Chavez, sell cheaper gas to several New England states so as retirees, poor people & families can SURVIVE the winter without going hungry. That sounds like a dangerous man to me. Please don't tell me it's like a stranger handing out candy to little children. it's a lot more complex than that because it's all about protecting your interests. Every businessman knows what that is. The only thing we have here is that the Bush Administration doesn't like it when someone can play up to their level in the most vulnerable American market, oil & gas. It scares them so they have to mask that fear with false, patriotic bravado, which is totally transparent to the average eye.

I praise Chavez for all the humanitarian deeds he's done & has created. He is a true maverick. Granted, he is a dictator, whether he acknowledges that or not but one that gets positive results & economic resuscitation into many countries that were on the brink just a few years ago. Besides, who does he have to be afraid of anyways? It's not like the US military would even listen to Bush after this Iraq debacle. They'd just have to tell him to not ever suggest military options as long as he was president because his credibility has run out. He has become a Menace to Society. I can't even believe I'm writing that about our president - it's a shame because the most powerful position in the world is now but a grim, gray shadow of what it once was. There's only 3 more years. Is that good or bad? At this rate, it's like a prison sentence - every day is one less day in hell, so long as you survive before your release date. Not to worry & mark my words, this president will do just a fine job impeaching himself. Cheney won't be next in line either, rest assured.

Immigration & The Bush Administration - Current Situation: I find it funny how our politicians are scrambling about, like a husband who's wife has finally screamed at him for sitting around the house all day & not doing any chores before guests arrive. So he's racing about now, making up for lost time but not doing any of the chores in a complete manner. Don't you see? They don't care about illegal immigration. They really never have until the American jobs started losing to overseas markets & contracts. American workers were never going to do these jobs until the pay rate went up but the pay rate won't go up because the United States farmers aren't properly represented & in fact, are forced to cut costs because of international competition & US red tape that drives produce prices down & forces them to pay more for equipment, land, fertilizer & permits than they can afford. You would think that at an age like this, we could automate most every job with high tech equipment at a reasonable cost to the farmers & still afford to pay a living wage to field workers. It's a joke. Don't tell me that every man & woman wouldn't pay .20 or $1 more for fruits & veggies so as our hard-working laborers who help grow, pick & bring these products to our kitchen can live a more respectable lifestyle.

You see, instead of worrying about our taxpayers' money paying private contractors (private U.S. militias) $10,000 a pop each day to be in a country that's of no threat to us & really not creating any beneficial products, we're stuck on rewind with each other, bickering over 'illegal's', heaven forbid, who are 'stealing our jobs'. Geez, let's just let the Bush Administration create a smokescreen while they let the oil production in Iraq become stalled, effectively cutting down competition from other oil companies that aren't Saudi owned (and pissing off those countries, like they already need to be pissed off anymore) & ultimately raising oil prices, which create record profits for those selective companies (Arab & US owned). Brilliant, if I do say so myself. It just doesn't make any long term friends except for those already lined in their pockets. Once again, this Administration doesn't represent the United States; in fact, it has become a national disgrace to even associate oneself with them. They've ripped out 'Conservative' from the Republican Party, the last vestige of any moral identity they had left to retain. I'm glad I'm not a Republican because I'd abandon ship immediately. What would Theodore Roosevelt think if he say this bunch of birdbrains running the country into the ground? My question is, where is the press representation to express the public outrage? Is this Administration so powerful that the press still can't speak up, out & against them after all the gross missteps they've taken? After all the apparent disrespect & obvious lack of compassion? Please, even fiscal compassion at this rate.

The immigration situation has to go this way: increase the amount of working visas allowed in this country, outsource jobs to Central America since you're going to outsource jobs anyways, build a working relationship with Venezuela & South America, increase minimum wage to a real living wage, create a Federal worker program with farmers so they don't get shafted, give farmers the needed technology they deserve to have since they essentially feed the country & finally, end this friggin war & reinvest the lost money from it to other needier sources, like Katrina & the current natural disaster relief because of record weather occurring.

It's all connected & I blame the voting people of the United States for the current situation due to this Administration. Why? Because we're a lazy country, mentally, that's why. I compare it to how most of us look at our doctor - we trust them with our lives & every word & recommendation that comes out of their mouth is almost tantamount to being God's word, or better said, teh final word. This is the current position we've alllowed ourselves to get into. We took the advice of a man with a trusted job title without question until so many questions mounted & our health kept deteriorating, we finally had to concede that something must be wrong. But the problem is, here we are, still asking, what's wrong, yet not ready to blame the doctor for giving bad advice & making errors that effect our living condiditons. We keep turning that blind eye, "Oh, it can't be the doctor, he's the doctor! He can't be wrong!". It's all a load of crap & we're to blame. Until we make the changes within our own communities, we must take accountability for the current state of affairs. I will say this though - I don't think anyone anticipated that the Bush Administration was going to louse it up this bad!

Let's get right into it. So now the Bush Admistration is so in the hole with its country that it's willing to threaten invasion of another country (Iran) since they could develop one(1) nuclear weapon in, say, ten years, at best. Meanwhile, Bush signs a nuclear treaty with India, giving it nearly full-access to US nuclear technology. Musharaff is politically embarassed in Pakistan, India's nuclear nemesis, by Bush's refusal to give him the same deal. Does Bush think this is sound, intelligent, presidential decision-making? Even a mayor for a town of 2500 people would be so silly as to do such things. The news/mainstream media hardly wants to mention how many nuclear weapons the USA is willing to get rid of (0), let alone Israel's possession of those evil weapons of total destruction. I'm sickened. I foresee a bad, bad war with no end in my time of living, all because of bad deals & a Frathouse Administration. Don't forget to shoot your neighbors,,,oops, Cheney alrieady did. When Cheney goes on television & threatens action, you betcha they'll be some. They're so desperate to divert attention from all the missteps they've taken & have lost face on i.e. Katrina (still missing bodies, rotting mobile homes, homeless residents, exodus of lives to other states with poor assistance, etc), the Iraq war (Abu Ghraib, below standard-of-living conditions i.e. sewer running down the street, minimal trash pickups, bombings daily) now a civil war (yet most press won't call it that probably out of fear of being shut down, called a traitor & being bugged), the Abramoff scandal, Libby's indictment, NSA domestic spying without warrants, the Delay scandal, the Bill Frist trading scandal (that one's really silent), Dubai ports deal flopping, the health care system - not a system at all, farms going all to hell with farmers losing money every year, illegal immigration/outsourcing issues (I bundle those together because they're directly related - will explain later), record deficits with no end in sight, and on & on. Isn't that enough to make a country go mad & want a change? Apparently not.
I want to make two things very clear.
1.) Anyone who voted for Bush based on fear and undying loyalty, should being bumming hardcore right now. I hold each Bush-voting citizen directly responsible for electing the man who's Administration has run this proud country into the ground at maybe the worst possible time in history. The world needs the positive powers of the USA & this Administration's acting like drunk parents at a PTA meeting who end up embarrassing their kid. I believe if Bush was truly a presidential man, he would've know when to clear it out of storm's harm. He's a novice yaghtsman with an oversized vessel unable to navigate himself out of most conditions, even clear ones.
2.) If we invade Iran, that will be the end of America as we know it. We will have started World War III with the Middle East. Trust me, no country in that region will support the US. Of course, some might not back Iran either but by then the damage has been done. They're only polite to us because we buy a lot of their oil & we're also the big bully of the yard - "Give me something out of your lunchbox & I'll protect you. If you don't, I'll push you to the ground, take your lunch & let you go hungry." Now that's just not friendly, Christian behavior. That does not reflect the American way. It'll be the worst mistake this Administration's made - and that's saying something, considering the mess they've already made but won't clean up.
Frankly, I'm embarrassed for this country. The Bush Administration, unfortunately, runs this country but no longer reflects it's sentiments & ideals. This Adminisration is an embarrassment to the United States of America. It is not doing anything that resembles patriotism with honor. Anybody knows that if a leader has to instill fear in order to move the masses, they'll only suffer the consequences eventually (with some exceptions in history). It's going to be a long, 3 years. I hate being doom & gloom but there's too much time for too many awful things to potentially occur before Their term has ended. I am very concerned for the US. We are neck deep in hell with no exit strategy because They will never listen to the wisest, most responsible intelligence being given to Them. So for all of you who voted for Bush, did you get what you wanted? Didn't think so. I know, kerry wasn't that much of a pick either but he sure couldn't have done worse than this!) I still say Shame on You, Bush voters! Remember this for the rest of your life, it will go down in history as a black 8 years for the US of A. And I don't even call myself a Democrat! You know it's going bad when Republicans are unhappy with the President.
Any answers? Just be good to your neighbors, be aware & don't do any back door deals. Basically, whatever this Administration has done, do the opposite. Trust me, you'll gain friends with this advice, not have them run away laughing at you.

Hmmmm... so immigration's the new issue this week for the press to peck at like hungry hens. That's all the White House will feed them at this time because there trying to buy time and doing a fairly good job at it. Problem is, they're running out of it. We're not focusing on the real, underlying problem - it hinges on several key issues.

One. Minimum wage hike; it needs to be at least $7.50 if not $8.50 per/hr. Hell, why not $9? If the cost of living is going up & wages aren't, there's going to be some socio-economic problems - real simple. How do you offset that cost in wage hikes? Sorry to say folks but we're going to have to pay more for our consumer products & when we're really in the mood, we'll actually act like political watchdogs & monitor our own government to make sure they're representing us as intended by the Constitution & the Bill of Rights.

Two. Government & Business Accountability. How much can citizens really be the watchdog of their own governement or administration without secrecy issues? It's impossible. Favors are always being brokered with the government & big businesses who, whether we like it or not, steer policy that can be non-favorable to the lower, middle class & middle-upper class. The richest are still getting the tax cuts. Amazing - during wartime too. Atrocious. Sorry, losing focus. Fine the damn companies that hire illegals or if you really want to do something, pay the damn farmers, pickers & packers more money! We seem to forget that Americans don't want to work these jobs because of the wages. Fix the wage problem, fine the company that refuses to work in that way & it's end of story. No more problem.

Three. Consumer Price Hike Scare ( Press Accountability). Don't let the press & government scare you into thinking that if you support all this wage hike stuff that it'll bury you into debt just to eat or buy necessary amenities. America is VERY RICH. It's how the gov't decides to disperse the funds & how much the people care enough to look over Uncle Sam's shoulder when he's dispersing those funds. There's lots of friends in Congress & many of them are getting taken care of - at the expense of the non-richest population. We can, with proper reshuffling of funds, maintain our standard of living as American citizens & not have to pay high prices for items.

Four. Standard of Living. The thing that irks me most about this immigration crap is that we, as consuming citizens, don't take responsibility for our standard of living. We want our lifestyles but we won't consider the costs behind the scenes & what makes many products cheap. In a nutshell, cheap labor = cheap products. If we want Americans back in the workforce, we must make the effort & invest back into our country. It's a small price to pay, as far as I'm concerned, for keeping just one more American employed.

Five. America - Land of the Immigrants. Of course there's a right, proper way to come into this country. But don't sit here & tell me that there weren't illegal imigrants back in the last couple centuries coming from Europe. So many 'citizens' now from all descents have some kind of 'illegal immigration' history. The moral highground is trumped by survival & the desire for prosperity. Some will be criminals - I'm sorry. Most will not. Scapegoating people who are working in our country doing jobs we refuse to do is illogical. It misses the point.

Here's some good reading - an interview with David Dionisi, a former conservative Republican & US army intelligence officer talks about his book, American Hiroshima. Once a Fortune 500 business executive after leaving the Army, he rejected his political beliefs and now advocates peace, social justice and humanitarianism. Here is the article, c/o aljazeera.net

Personally, I am in delight to see the Bush Administration in such a hairy position on all political, economical & social fronts. Unfortunatley, I fear that accountability has stretched out to ordinary citizens who are paying the price for their irresponsible & arrogant behavior. i.e. lack of preparedness for natural disasters, Patriot Act violations, jobs lost to overseas workers, astronomical healthcare costs, war veteran benefit compromises/loss of jobs & housing to war veterans/families, protection of environmental laws loosened, tax cuts to the richest during wartime & oh yah, a war built on exaggerated claims at best, Social Security bungling, high fuel prices/lack of proper funding for alternative energy, a gross denial of global warming, total management breakdown on the rebuilding of Iraq which is costin US taxpayers obscene amounts of $. The list just goes on & it blows me away. The list should not go on. This is our government we're talking about. If the gov't were my parents, I'd scream at them, leave the home, sue them & smile as I watch them dragged into jail with a life sentence with no possibility for parole.

Mr. President Takes Responsibility.
I thought I'd never hear those words uttered by Mr. President Bush in the same sentence. It makes me honestly have a little hope that this administration might have to chill out, reaccess their goals & actually lead this country down a path that really speaks to Americans. The polls are definitely affecting their ability to get their agenda completed by term's end. The most important aspect of this all is international perception: Behold, you see the most powerful figurehead in the industrialized world, Mr. President Bush, take responsibility for the federal gov't's response to Hurricane Katrina. In many eyes of the world, it appears as an embarrassing situation, considering the resources the USA holds in vast reserve while many Army Reserves are away from home to fight, ironically, a war away from home, where they are now most needed. Even with all these resources, we couldn't even help our own American people on time. Take into account, it's the worst natural disaster in America. Confusion will happen at best. All that poor stuff has been going on forever & it's not going to change anytime soon. Paradoxically for us, such an awful event such as this had to occur in order for everyone to see what really poor looked like. From ignored to worse. Doesn't go any lower than that, does it?

Anyways, Mr. President looks weaker in the eyes of the world. And this is the crux of the whole discussion. Mr. Bush has touted himself as a fighter & leader against terrorism. He's strong, makes the right decisions & is very resolved once he's made up his mind.

The initial response of the hurricane by Mr. Bush after it hit basically spoke for itself. I don't even have to say too much, the press has said it all & dissected it all to read. I just can't help to chuckle inside because I knew something like this could happen under his watch & I knew his true colors revealed a man out of touch, distanced, insulated by opposing opinions, not truly humane except to his money-giving, favor-promising constituents. All I can say is, Mr. Bush & his administration decided to play ball by their own rules. They forgot all these other factors come into play when the governing of the game is at hand. When you only keep sight of winning, you can lose sense of humanity & that's the gamble they took. It was the wrong gamble and at the worst time. Now they're going to lose & we get to watch it. Don't worry, the country will still be able to run itself. Just not the way the Bush Administration envisioned even up to two weeks ago. Not ever again.
